What is eBay Inventory Sync?
It brings your eBay listings over to Jawa and keeps them up to date automatically. Price and quantity changes on eBay show up on Jawa, and when an item sells on Jawa we lower the quantity on eBay for you.
How do I get access?
Go to Settings > Inventory Sync and click Request Access. Fill out the short form with your eBay store, the categories you want to sync, and any inventory software you use. Our team reviews every request. Once you're approved, the page will show a Connect to eBay button.
How long does approval take?
We review requests by hand and will email you when your account is ready. Until then, the Inventory Sync page will say "Access Requested."
How do I connect my eBay account?
After you're approved, click Connect to eBay, sign in to eBay, and allow access. You'll come back to Jawa and pick your sync settings. Your first import starts as soon as you save them.
What settings can I choose?
- Override eBay Shipping: Use Jawa's calculated shipping (a prepaid Jawa label) for every synced listing instead of your eBay shipping prices. Your eBay listings need package weight and dimensions for this to work.
- Accept Offers: Let buyers send offers on listings where you accept Best Offers on eBay. Your eBay minimum offer becomes your Jawa minimum.
- Auto-Publish Listings: Publish imported listings on Jawa right away. If this is off, they arrive as drafts for you to review.
You can change these any time under Manage Connection > Settings.
Which eBay listings get imported?
Active, fixed-price ("Buy It Now") listings that:
- Are priced in US dollars and ship within the US
- Have photos and are in stock
- Are in a category we support: PCs, laptops, PC parts, monitors, peripherals, consoles, video games, VR, and more
Which listings don't get imported?
- Auctions
- Listings with multiple variations
- Listings in categories we don't support yet
What information comes over from eBay?
- Title, price, quantity, photos, and condition
- Shipping and return policy
- Specifications (filled in automatically)
We also write a Jawa description from your eBay title and condition notes, and you can edit it on Jawa.
Will my listings go live on Jawa right away?
Only if Auto-Publish is on and your payout account (Stripe) is set up. Otherwise they come in as drafts. The Inventory Sync page shows how many drafts need review, with a Review Drafts button.
How often does it sync?
About every 5 minutes once you have at least one synced listing published on Jawa. If all your synced listings are still drafts, it syncs about every 30 minutes. Each listing in My Listings shows when it last synced.
What changes on Jawa when I change something on eBay?
- Price, quantity, and minimum offer changes come over within minutes.
- New eBay listings are added automatically.
- Title, category, and shipping changes come over every few hours.
- If you end a listing or it sells out on eBay, it goes out of stock on Jawa.
What happens when an item sells on Jawa?
We lower the quantity on your eBay listing. If that was the last one, we end the eBay listing so it can't sell twice.
What happens when an item sells on eBay?
The Jawa quantity drops at the next sync, usually within 5 minutes. We also check eBay live before any Jawa checkout goes through. If the item is no longer available or the price has changed, the buyer can't check out.
Can I edit synced listings on Jawa?
Only the description. Everything else (price, quantity, photos, condition, specs, category, and shipping) is managed on eBay. Each synced listing has an Edit on eBay link. You can still publish a synced listing or move it to drafts on Jawa, but you can't delete it there.
How do I spot synced listings?
They have an eBay badge in My Listings. Hover over it to see the last sync time.
Do fees or prices differ from eBay?
Your Jawa price matches your eBay price. Jawa's standard seller fees apply to sales on Jawa.
How do I disconnect?
Go to Settings > Inventory Sync > Manage Connection > Disconnect eBay. You don't need to email support. When you disconnect, syncing stops and your synced listings move to drafts. If you see "Sync in progress," wait a minute and try again.
What happens if I reconnect later?
You'll confirm your settings again and we'll run a fresh import. Listings that went to drafts when you disconnected are published again if they're still in stock on eBay.
Why does my sync say "paused"?
eBay connections expire after a while. We'll email you and send a notification when yours is about to expire, and again if it has expired. While it's paused, price, quantity, sold-item, and new-listing updates stop. Click Reconnect eBay on the Inventory Sync page to start syncing again.
Some of my eBay listings didn't come over. Why?
Usually one of these:
- It's an auction or has multiple variations.
- It's in a category we don't support yet.
- It ships outside the US.
- Shipping uses Jawa labels but the eBay listing has no package weight and dimensions.
- You don't have a default shipping address on Jawa.
If you still can't tell why, email support@jawa.gg.
How do I connect a different eBay account?
Jawa connects to whichever eBay account you're signed in to in your browser. If you're already signed in to eBay, eBay may skip the sign-in screen and connect that account. To switch accounts:
1. Go to Settings > Inventory Sync > Manage Connection > Disconnect eBay.
2. Go to ebay.com and sign out. If you use more than one eBay account in this browser, make sure you're signed out of all of them. You can also use a private or incognito window instead.
3. Back on Jawa, click Connect to eBay and sign in with the eBay account you want.
4. Check the Inventory Sync page. It shows "Connected as" with your eBay username. If it still shows the old account, try again in a private window.
